Itanagar, Jul 5: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society commended the East Kameng district administration for its initiative to register marriages in the district.

It serves as proof of marriage and its essential for various legal process, including employment related matter. Registration also ensure legal recognition of marriage and facilitates smoother administration of benefits and rights, both within government services and in personal legal matters.
He further asked all the employees to register their marriages and submit the certificate to the administration.
APWWS has been organizing marriage registration over the years in the state to secure the legal rights of married women.
We urge upon all the government departments to enforce strict implementation of marriage registration laws and procedures to ensure compliance across the state. We believe such a measure will not only uphold legal standards but also safeguard the rights and interests of married individuals, APWWS president Kani Nada Maling said in a statement.
