3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Nov 13: The Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) has strongly condemned the lathi-charge on APPSCCE aspirants who were protesting in a democratic way outside the examination centre against the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) by security personnel on the orders of magistrate present there.
The APWWS stated that the protesting aspirants were not criminals and the authorities could have handled the situation in a proper way.
It further stated that the APPSC being a statutory and independent body could have prevented the chaos if they had taken a sensible decision and made proper arrangements.
While blaming the Commission of being ineffective, the APWWS said “The careers of thousands of students are at stake due this ongoing tussle. Such incident is unfortunate and has broken the spirit of all the aspirant candidates. As a mother NGO, APWWS feels the pain of all those children who are fighting in the court, protesters and candidates who are appearing the exam.”
The Society has further strongly appealed to the state government to take a proper decision soon which will not jeopardize the careers of aspirants as well as maintain the reputation and sanctity of the APPSC.
