ITANAGAR, Mar 3: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today assured that within 28 days government will take stern action against those found guilty in the alleged APSSB job scam.
Speaking to reporters, Khandu added former Secretary of APSSB, SK Jain has been already suspended and High-Level Inquiry Committee has been constituted to unearth the truth. 'The committee will submit the report within 21 days and in the next seven days action taken report will be known to the public’ asserted the Chief Minister.
When asked about any probability of such malpractices in the earlier examination conducted by the APSSB, Khandu stated ‘Investigation is going on and as of now no such hints have been ascertained. SSB is the pet project of the state government and we will not tolerate such malpractices and strong action will be taken against those found indulging in such practices,' warned Khandu. Meanwhile, Chief Secretary has issued the suspension order of former APSSB Secretary SK Jain.
The suspension order stated ‘The government of Arunachal Pradesh in exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of Sub-rule (i) of rule 3 of the All India Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969 herby places SK Jain, IAS(AGMUT:2007) Secretary cum Controller of Examinations, APSSB under Suspension.'
Further, the Chief Secretary also constituted High Level Inquiry Committee (HLIC) with Principal Resident Commissioner –Arunachal Bhawan New Delhi Jitendra Narain –IAS ( AGMUT-1990) and Commissioner Home, Kaling Tayeng-IAS (AGMUT-1998) as its members. HLIC has been directed to submit the report as soon as possible but not later than 21 days from the date of issue of order.
