Itanagar, Oct 28: Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) in collaboration with Adi Bane Kebang Women’s Wing (ABKWW) organized a One Day Legal Awareness Programme titled “ Women’s Rights and Importance of Registration of Marriage” for the women wing  of  Adi Bane Kebang on October 27 last  here at a hotel. 
The programme  was attended among others by Member Secretary, APSLSA Budi Habung,  President, ABK (Apex) Getom Borang, President, ABKWW (Apex) Olen Megu Dami, President ABKWW, Papum Pare District Unit Joymoti Darang. 
Habung spoke about the availability of free legal services to the poor and needy tribal people, Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme 2011, Lok Adalat, basics of the Civil & Criminal Laws, Women’s Rights and related laws including Protection of Women from Domestic Violence and Customary Practices in Arunachal. President, ABK (Apex) highlighted the customary law & practices of Adi and steps taken for codification of Adi Customary Law & Practices. Advocate and Legal Aid Counsel, APSLSA Raknu Konya spoke on the importance and benefits of Registration of Marriage.
During interaction session, issues raised by the participants were clarified. Representatives of ABKWW from East Siang, Siang and Upper Siang districts took part in the programme. Various office bearers of ABKWW also spoke on the occasion. APSLSA PR
