ITANAGAR, Apr 24: Acting on a complaint letter involving a case of domestic violence and attempt to murder, the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) visited the victim Yalik Siram Taloh at Pasighat on April 23.
APSCW Chairperson Radhilu Chai Techi deputed APSCW team comprising of Vice Chairperson Heyomai Towsik, Member Techi Hunmai and Member Secretary Yame Higio to conduct a preliminary enquiry of the case.
The team met Yalik Siram who is under mental trauma and undergoing medical treatment. They also met the victim’s parents and father-in-law and recorded their statements. Visiting the alleged accused mother-in-law of the victim, now in judicial custody in Pasighat, the team questioned her about the incident in detail. Later the team members met DC, SP, OC and I.O of the case and discussed details of the case with them and asked them to nab the absconding accused at the earliest.
Meanwhile, APSCW has appealed all citizens and CBOs to refrain from taking law into their hands. APSCW Press Release
