Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
Itanagar, Feb 27: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar Vice Chairperson Adv. Nabam Yahi Tad and Adv. Member Ngurang Nama attended the One Day Legal Awareness Programme “Know your rights and fight your rights” organized by Kuj Leporiang Den Ajin PLF under ArSRLM in collaboration with APSCW, Itanagar at Leporiang on Tuesday.
Resource Person Punyo Saikia, Supervisor, Sagalee ICDS Project, Papum Pare spoke on the provision of government schemes and facilities especially for women and girl child, and how to avail it from the government. Another Resource Person Adv. Nabam Tatum Hina, Guwahati High Court, Itanagar Bench elaborated on legal rights and customary laws for women and girl child of Arunachal Pradesh.
Whereas, Vice Chairperson Adv. Nabam Yahi Tad briefed the participants regarding self reliance and encouraged local production, prevention of drug abuse, important of education of girls and society as a whole, preservation of tradition and customs and also importance of 125 CrPC Maintenance. Member Adv Ngurang Nama briefed regarding the function of Women Commission and the importance of Marriage Registration.
The programme was attended by more than 150 participants including officers and official along with gaon burahs and gaon buris, women and girls.
