ITANAGAR, May 31: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) team led by Chairperson Rahdilu Chai Techi conducted a meeting today with the Superintendent of Police, Papum Pare Baranab Tayl here at the Commission’s office.
The team informed the SP that on May 27, the All Bodo Students’ Union and the Peace Committee of Assam & Arunachal Border appeared before the Commission and expressed their dissatisfaction over unsatisfactory investigation momentum of the recent murder case of Aleb Basumatary. They further requested APSCW to intervene so that justice can be given to the victim and her family.
Acting on their appeal, the APSCW team during the meeting placed a request to the SP Papum Pare to expedite the murder case with impartiality. Hearing the request, SP assured that proper investigation will be done from their end. APSCW has also requested people from all sections of society to cooperate with the police for smooth investigation of the case. Newsdesk
