NAHARLAGUN, Jan 30 : A team led by Director-cum-Member Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology (APSCS & T) C D Mungyak participated in the 4th International Conference on Creativity and Innovation at/for /from /with Grassroots (ICCIG-4) held at IIM, Ahmedabad, Gujarat from January 28 to 30 as panellists on the topic ‘Mainstreaming the Margins’.
The session was chaired by Prof. GM Bhat, Director Institute of Technology, Kashmir. The other panellists were Meghalaya SCSTE OSD Augustus Suting, NIF India, NE Region Dr Nitin Maurya, Scientist F BSI Kolkata and Innovators from North East Dr A A Mao.
The following points have been put on record for consideration through innovative ideas & scientific intervention at the time of mainstreaming the Grassroots Innovators -diffusion of technology, taping the strength of biodiversity flora and fauna, taping the potentiality of tourism without hampering the natural surroundings, promoting innovation among students, integration of women in innovation eco-system, taping the potentiality of renewable energy in sustainable manner where the normal grid is not available.
Several parallel sessions and plenary sessions that took place stressed on fostering open culture, policies for grassroots educational innovation, HBN platform for start-up: Creativity, Comparison and Collaboration, coping creativity with climate change, etc.
AP Science Centre, IG Park, Itanagar, Curator Dr. Vivek Kumar also accompanied the team which concluded today. He said that technical personnel, scientists and officers of Science & Technology, CSIR, IIM, ISRO, IIT Bombay/Madras and of various states of the country and teams from Cambodia, USA, China, Myanmar etc and innovators placed their views on different fields.
