Khonsa, Aug 19: Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) written examination for recruitment to Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) and IRBn concluded peacefully here in nine different examination centres on Sunday.
A total of 1852 candidates appeared out of 1939 candidates with 87 remaining absent.
Early in the morning hours, frisking /checking of candidates was done by police personnel at the entrance gate of the schools followed by biometric attendance check by APSSB assigned officials. Officers, Principals, Headmasters and Teachers were appointed as Centre Superintendents, Assistant Centre Superintendents and Invigilators to conduct the examination along with supervision of Flying Squads and Magistrates on duty. Though there were some technical glitches in biometric machines in some centres, the examination which was conducted by the administrative support of Tirap District Administration went off smoothly without any further problems.
