ITANAGAR, Nov 7: The Apollo Hospitals Group today opened its 58th Information Centre (IC) here as a part of its effort to bring world-class healthcare services in a more accessible way to the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
The IC was inaugurated by local MLA Techi Kaso amidst a huge gathering. Meanwhile, in a press conference at the Press Club, Chief Executive Officer of Apollo Hospitals Group, P Shivakumar said that the organization is all set to provide international standard healthcare services to the citizens of the state. “Over the years we have established a series of centres in many states to cater to health facility requirements,” Shivkumar pointed out, adding that continuing faith and trust of the people in Apollo's high quality services has led to its footprint in Arunachal too. The centre will offer super specialty OPD consultation services by visiting doctors from Apollo Hospitals of Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata along with necessary information sharing. Moreover, it would also serve as a one-stop location for arranging prior appointments for consultants with doctors from any of these four locations to facilitate post-treatment follow-up that would save patients from costly travels outside the state. The organization is also expected to embark on a series of health care camps which include Basic Life Support Training for police personnel, Health Screening & Awareness Programs in State Secretariat & corporate establishments, multi-specialty health screening camps in remote locations across the state etc. “The  Information Centre will bring Apollo specialists in cardiac sciences, oncology, orthopaedics, nephrologists, urologists, neurosurgeons, gastroenterologists and many other key specialties from the above Apollo centres on a regular basis for consultation from time to time,” Vice President, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, R Sudharsan added.
He further informed that the IC would also cater to the healthcare needs of patients from remote areas who find it difficult to travel to state capital.
