ITANAGAR, Sep 27: The Arunachal Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (APMCC) expressed its concern over the delay in issuing the rectification to the illegal and arbitrary appointment made to the 5th body of Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW).
It alleged that initially, Pema led BJP government accepted the procedural lapse and assured to correct it accordingly, but failed to do so despite lapse of seven months.
“Such negligence clearly exposes the biased involvement of the government itself in executing illegality in APSCW. By maintaining silence over the issue, the government is indirectly sabotaging the rights of women by auctioning the dignity and privileges of womenfolk in the state,” it added.
