ITANAGAR, Nov 5:Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society observed the 6th death anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika at JN State Museum in an impressive function. The programme was initiated by its president Y D Thongchi who highlighted the contributions of Dr. Hazarika and described him as the harbinger of friendship of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

The highlight of the programme was presentation of Bhupendra Song by Noni Kojin, editor of The Arunachal Front remembering the days of Dr. Hazarika in Yazali during the shooting of the first Arunachal movie ‘Meri Dharam Meri Maa’ way back in 1976.

APLS assistant general secretary Dr. Pekba Ringu, Ajanta, eminent writer in Assamese, Jahnavi Gogoi, story writer in Assamese also presented Bhupendra Songs.
