Namsai, Mar 16: The Namsai District unit of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society  held its first sitting on Saturday under the chairmanship of Indrajit Tingwa, President of the unit at the District Library Namsai.
The meeting commenced with the opening remarks of the chair, which highlighted the present status of the unit and some immediate plans and programmes focusing on the promotion of  mother tongue, dissemination of awareness regarding literature and literary activities particularly among young school students, scouting of hidden talent etc.
The sitting also resolved to celebrate ensuing World Book Day in a befitting way.
