Itanagar, Mar 4: The Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society has condoled the demise of Dr. Jogendra Nath, an author and an awardee of the Luminous Lummer Dai Literary Award of the year 2018, who passed away on March 1 last at Guwahati due to age related issues. He was born on 15th September 1931 at Silapathar, Assam.
The APLS members offered floral tribute to the portrait of late Dr. Nath and recalled his contribution in the field of education and literature.
Speaking on the occasion, Y. D. Thongchi said late Dr. Jogendra Nath was writing prolifically with indomitable zeal and tempo both in creative as well as in scholastic field in a period when there was hardly any activity in the literary field in Arunachal Pradesh. Hence his contribution in the field of literature in Arunachal Pradesh was unparalleled in the sense that he was amongst those very few writers who kept the literary tempo intact from being rendered into oblivion, he added.
