.PASIGHAT, May 30: As per direction of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, a one day awareness cum cleanliness drive programme on Awachhta Pakwada-2024 was organized by the East Siang APEDA on Wednesday at the Sille Govt. Higher Secondary School on the theme “Save Energy by Efficient Use”.
Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, the Principal of the school, Tagon Sitang, in his brief speech appealed to all the participants to gain knowledge on Swachhta Pakwada on cleanliness drive and to spread awareness in society using energy efficient electric appliances. He also explained about the importance of cleanliness in the life of human being.
Earlier, in his keynote address, APEDA Project Officer Er.Kape Badak highlighted the aim and objectives of Swachhta Pakwada in the part of Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency in detail.
