ITANAGAR, Dec 20: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) in its two-day extended executive meeting or "Sangharsh Sammelan" which concluded today brainstormed the party's strategy for the 2019 assembly elections including measures to strengthen its frontal organizations and DCCs, to effectively communicate about the failures of the BJP government's policies to common masses through mass social media outreach programme.
Chairing the meeting, General Secretary, AICC and In-charge Arunachal Pradesh, Luizinho Falerio attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making false promises and stated that Congress success in the assembly elections in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh indicates that the countdown of the Modi government has begun.
Citing the reason why BJP government should not be ousted from Arunachal, he listed out that more than Rs. 200 crore infrastructure projects have been stopped and grants from the Centre were scrapped.
Secretary, AICC and I/C Arunachal, Zenith Sangma said that the BJP government at the Centre came to power on the basis of unrealistic promises and presently their leaders are only focusing on fulfilling their own self-interests and have ignored the common people.
Further talking about the motive behind social media awareness for its workers, Sangma said that the effort was a part of the party initiatives to make aware common people about lies spread by BJP and to prepare its workers how to counter it.
Taking a dig at the state government, APCC President Takam Sanjoy said the development of the state is no longer on their agenda and common people continue to suffer from corruption, law and order problems and lack of development initiatives.
