ITANAGAR, Jun 12:Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee has alleged huge misappropriation of Untied Fund amounting to Crores of rupees meant for welfare and development schemes.

The APCC in a representation submitted to the Chief Secretary, on March 26 last had sought his immediate intervention to stop the release of Untied Fund of Rs.221 Crores allotted to various departments for developmental projects in the districts.

Despite our strong opposition, no action has been initiated by the Chief Secretary, as a result there is huge misappropriation of meant for the welfare and development schemes of Kra Daadi District amounting to more than Rs. 7 Crores and also violation of laid norms for execution of SIDF schemes, the Congress said in a release this evening.

Asserting that the CS should take the entire responsibility for the scam, APCC demanded the government to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) immediately to investigate the matter of gross misappropriation of fund.

The Congress further questioned the law and order situation in the state claiming that under the Pema Khandu led BJP Government, the law & order problem is increasing and deteriorating day-by-day with crimes on the rise.

Instead of tall claims and announcing crores in every function whereas there is no funding in reality, Khandu should address the security issue and if he is unable then he should respectfully step-down on moral ground.
