ITANAGAR, Jun 19:Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee celebrated the 48th birthday of President, All India Congress Committee, Rahul Gandhi, here today at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Itanagar.

 To commemorate the day, APCC President  Takam Sanjoy, along with its members  visited City Mission School, Dokum Colony, Itanagar  and donated  rice and pulses to the School. 

 Speaking on the occasion, Sanjoy recalled the political history of INC since 1885 and highlighted how the Nehru-Gandhi family sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation.                 

 While calling Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister of India, Sanjay strongly appealed all the Congress workers to fight collectively against the evil forces that are trying to divide democracy and its constitution. 

At TEZU, the APCC Lohit unit celebrated Gandhi’s birthday amidst the presence of office bearers and party cadres. Cake cutting ceremony followed by plantation drive in the premises of Govt Primary School Tezu Khola was held to mark the occasion.

The District Congress Committee and District Youth Congress, Namsai also celebrated the day.
