ITANAGAR, Dec 28: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee celebrated the 134th Indian National Congress Foundation Day at Rajiv Bhawan here today.

 

 

 

          The programme started with Vande Mataram followed by welcome speech by Chera Taya, General Secretary, APCC and cutting of cake to mark the occasion.

 

 

 

Rajen Nani, Minkir Lollen, vice-presidents, APCC and Joya Joram, State Convenor, Arunachal Pradesh Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan (APRGPRS) in their speeches elaborated the history of INC and the contribution of the party in nation building since freedom struggle. They said that the history of the Indian National Congress is the history of modern India as it is the largest and oldest democratic political party in the world. The Congress has never been merely a political organization; it has encompassed every facet of the nation’s life.

 

 

 

          They further said that from the time of its founding, generation upon generation of Congressmen and women have left their mark on the  nation’s history.
