ITANAGAR, Mar 28: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) once gain slammed the state government for misusing more than Rs 200 crore in the name of ‘Untied fund’.
Speaking to media persons at press club today, Vice President APCC Minkir Lollen said that it is unacceptable that more than Rs 200 crore has been allotted in the last moments of the financial year.
‘How will they complete the entire project within short 15 days?’ he questioned.
He also alleged that the Deputy Commissioner has issued an order to keep Banks and treasury office open on March 30-31 next for transaction of cash. ‘Such move by the government clearly shows that transaction/payments are going on,’ he said.
‘We have submitted memorandum to the Chief Secretary to keep an eye on the whole episode and stop any kind of payment against Untied Fund and its transaction,’ added the Vice President APCC.
APCC also questioned the state government’s move to relax PAP and RAP in the state for foreign nationals.
‘Arunachal is one of the sensitive states of India bordering rival country China who time and again claim Arunachal as their territory. Giving excuse on inflow of tourists after relaxation of PAP and RAP is objectionable as they are already moving without any glitch in the state,’ he added.
Terming such relaxation a threat to national security, the APCC called MoS Home Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Pema Khandu anti national and the move anti Arunachal.
