ITANAGAR, Apr 22: Arunachal Pradesh Catholic Association (APCA) has expressed deep shock over the massacre of church goers in Sri Lanka attending mass on the occasion of Easter Sunday.
In a press release issued today, APCA has strongly condemned the senseless act of terrorism which targeted three churches and five other locations in Sri Lanka and has resulted in deaths of more than 290 persons and more than 500 injuries so far.
The association offered prayers and condolences to the bereaved families and those injured in the incident.As a mark of solidarity, all the Catholic churches in the state will offer mass for the departed and injured next Sunday.
“Through the press release we would also like to request the faithful and all people of good will to offer prayers for the victims of the bomb blasts and for world peace,” it said. APCA Press Release
