ITANAGAR, Feb 18: Following positive response from the state government, the Arunachal Publishers & Broadcasters Guild (AP&BG) has announced to suspend its protest temporarily.
In a late evening development, the Secretary Information and Public Relations, Himanshu Gupta in a communiqué has invited the Guild for a meeting to discuss the various issuing confronting the Publishers and Broadcasters.
The AP &BG while welcoming the move has thanked the state government for reading the pulse and taking a timely step. We look forward for a permanent solution which will alleviate these chronic issues for better coordination and understanding, the Guild said in a statement.
Earlier, the Guild on Monday had announced launch of its first phase of indefinite protest against what it termed lackadaisical attitude towards their plea.
