ITANAGAR, Jul 2:In a representation addressed to the Governor, the All Nyishi Students Union has sought his intervention in shifting the Indian Air Force bombing site from Dollungmukh area considering the safety and security of local residents.

Referring to its recent visit to the area, the body alleged huge negligence on the part of the IAF Authority while carrying out indiscriminate bombing drills citing they (IAF) never communicate about their proposed drill to locals or government authority.

It also stated the lack of concrete security fence or boundary wall around the designated bombing area as a matter of serious concern. The organization urged the governor to call a meeting with IAF authority to hammer out a permanent mechanism to shift the bombing area to another location.

It further called for posting of an administrative officer in the rank of EAC/SDO at Dollungmukh area to deal with interstate boundary issues with its Assam counterpart.
