Guwahati/Itanagar, Feb 16: Dr. Anshu Jamsenpa, the famed Indian mountaineer has invited the people of Thailand and the ASEAN countries to visit and explore the eight beautiful states of North East India.
The world record holder mountaineer who hails from Bomdila of Arunachal Pradesh and promoting Northeast India tourism in different fora within India and abroad was speaking during the felicitation at a function held at Central World, Bangkok last Saturday.
Dr. Anshu also sashayed the ramp as a celebrity show stopper in a   costume designed by Milan based Sanghamitra.
She also encouraged 400 plus delegates from Northeast India who had converged at the Thai capital to promote bilateral trade, tourism & cultural exchange. The events were organised during North East Festival held at Bangkok during February 8 to 10 last. It was initiated by TM Trends Chief Functionary Shyam Kanu Mahanta and supported by Indian Embassy & North Eastern Council.
The inaugural function was attended by several ambassadors of ASEAN countries including Indian ambassador Suchitra Durai, Commerce Minister of Thailand Chutima Bunyapraphasara, NEC Adviser R Lalrodingi, Former MoS Tourism, Government of India Omak Apang and others.
