PASIGHAT, Aug 19: Along with rest of the state, the All Arunachal Pradesh Anganwadi Worker’s & Helper’s Union (AAPAW&HU) East Siang Unit today carried out a sit in dharna in front of office of Dy. Director, ICDS, Pasighat and also at office of CDPO, Pasighat segment and demanded for early and timely release of six months pending honorarium.
While speaking on the sidelines of the dharna and march, the AAPAW&HU East Siang Unit led by President, Maklek Jamoh and General Secretary, Obi Moyong said that, hundreds of Anganwadi workers of the district are facing financial problems due to non receipt of six months honorarium till date. They appealed to the concern department head at Itanagar to be compassionate and release the pending honorarium soon.
When asked on the petition submitted by the AAPAW&HU East Siang Unit, Dy. Director, ICDS, Ponung Ering Angu said that, she is forwarding the letter to the directorate and added that, the delay for release of honorarium may be due to delay in getting financial concurrence in the finance department.
