ITANAGAR, May 6:  All Sagalee Students Union (ASSU) has demanded immediate transfer and enquiry against Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and Executive Engineer PWD, Sagalee Division for their involvement in diverting project fund, encroachment of school land and dismantling government properties.

Speaking to reporters at press club today, General Secretary (Acting) Nabam Sonu alleged that the duo were working hand in glove and diverting funds of the 5 KM CC road project worth Rs 100 lakh (approach road under RE-2015-16) to be constructed within Nyoriso area to government higher secondary school premises and also encroaching and dismantling school property like teachers quarters and water supply pipes.

‘It is very disheartening to say that Nyoriso is at least 1km away from  said school  but interestingly executing agency Aka enterprises under the supervision of PWD Sagalee division  with administrative permission from ADC has constructed the said CC road within the premises of  the school  that too without any NOC from the school authority,’ he informed.

Sonu also revealed that despite series of representations to Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Superintendent of Police, Papumpare, Commissioner PWD and Officer In-charge PS Sagalee, no action has been taken but interestingly the project is completed in paper and fund has been already withdrawn.

‘We urge the concern authority to immediately transfer the alleged officers and to constitute enquiry on the whole episode of misusing public fund and dismantling school properties,’ demanded ASSU.

Meanwhile, denying the allegation levelled against him by All Sagalee Students Union, ADC Sagalee Jalash Pertin stated that he is ready for spot verification by any committee constituted by the government to verify the facts. ADC Pertin further clarified that no NOC is required to implement any project within the government premises. He added that he allowed the road construction for welfare of public living at the backside of the school.
