ITANAGAR, Dec 27: The Arunachal Justice forum (AJF) has expressed concern over mushrooming of private buildings in the premises of Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun and non-initiation of appropriate measures to curb the menace.
In a representation addressed to the chief secretary, it, while welcoming the decision for establishing the long felt medical college under the TRIHMS premises, resented that “unfortunately it is seen that many multistoried private buildings are standing tall in the proposed site which may affect efficient functioning of the medical college”.
“It is astonishing to see how such private structures could have come up in such a complex of high security and official premises that too right under the nose of Director, TRIHMS,” it observed.
The forum further requested the early intervention of concerned authority in the matter and initiate action to contain the rampant encroachment at the proposed site of the development project.
