ITANAGAR, Mar 5: The representatives of the Arunachal Indigenous Tribes Forum (AITF) and Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) recently held a consultative meeting with Chief Minister Pema Khandu on various issues which was attended by Education Minister, Honchun Ngandam, and Minister, RWD, IPR & Printing, Bamang Felix.
During the meeting, the AITF team put forward their sentiments and viewpoints on the PRC imbroglio and reiterated fulfillment of four points charter of demands earlier submitted through a memorandum to the CM.
According to a press release issued by AITF, the Chief Minister agreed to redress all the major demands put forward by AITF on March 3 last and informed that action on few issues has already been initiated.
It also informed that their demands for replacing the present incumbent SP, ICC has been initiated by CM who then also assured to constitute an independent judicial inquiry committee headed by a retired HC Judge within fifteen days over PRC issue.
It stated that the state government issued an official gazette notification on permanent closure of PRC issue on March 4, which is one of their core demands.
Further AITF informed that the CM also assured to bring tangible action on TAH compensation scam following the report of the Fact Finding Committee (FFC) very soon. ES Newsdesk
