PASIGHAT, Jun 15:AYANG Chairman, Aini Taloh who has been associated with voluntary blood donation movement in the state for long will be awarded for her work by the West Bengal governor among other prominent blood donors of the country.

Speaking at the celebration of the World blood donor day at Bakin Pertin General Hospital, Pasighat on Thursday  Taloh said that, she had noticed several needy patients running from pillar to post during emergencies and paid donors were rarely available which pushed the cost of the blood per unit very high.

“After observing all these situations I felt the need to come up with a dedicated NGO for blood donation to needy patients as I have been personally donating blood periodically from quite long time”, added Taloh who defying the taboo of women donating blood has donated around 25 times so far and commits to continue till her health permits.
