ITANAGAR, Mar 30: Arunachal Hindi Sansthan (AHS) is going to organize first ever Rajya Hindi Sammelan here at Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall on March 31, informed its Chairman Takam Sonia in a press conference held here at press club.
Addressing reporters, he informed that the motive is to bring renowned Hindi scholars, poets and other contributors under one umbrella who have silently worked for Hindi language in the state.
We will also launch our first Hindi Magazine – ‘Arunoday Bhoomi’ as well as an animation video on hindi pronunciation for children. Besides the AHS will also felicitate Hindi scholars who have contributed in the field of Hindi in the state, he said.
Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein and Minister for Art & Culture, Mohesh Chai will attend the convention as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
While responding to query, General Secretary AHS, Tai Tagung informed that AHS is also going to place demand to reintroduce old books like ‘Hindi Pathya Pustak’ instead of the current ‘Rimzim’ hindi books in primary level.
‘There is nothing mentioned about our people or tradition in the current version of NCERT ‘Rimzhim’ hindi books whereas in the old “Hindi Pathya Pushtak’ almost all chapters and poems were about Arunachal and its tradition,’ he said.
When asked ,why only hindi language has been given due importance when state’s own traditional languages are on the verge of extinction ,Tagung said ‘there is no doubt that we have to preserve our own language but reality is that we also cannot ignore Hindi language as it is the most spoken in India. Moreover, if one has to go out for higher studies or jobs, then hindi is the most comfortable language to communicate,’ he added.
