TAWANG, Mar 12: Representatives of the political parties underwent a briefing of details of general elections 2019 today at DC’s Conference Hall Tawang.
CO(Election) Tashi Wangchu Thongdok gave an overview to them about the conduct of election, new facilities introduced by ECI like Suvidha, C-Vigil and 1950, a 24x7 telephone service for complaints related to election matters.
DC-cum-DEO Tawang Sang Phuntsok also discussed about new facilities of ECI and appealed all the political party representatives to maintain peace during and after elections.
He said “the candidates are not enemies of each other, it is just a process of democracy to choose the best among them, therefore I request all the political party representatives to cooperate us in conducting the elections free and fairly.” I hope there will not be any violence in the ensuing elections,he added.Other senior officers also spoke on the occasion.
