A peaceful agitation by students of Arunachal University of Studies,

in an all out scuffle with army personnel during which few students
were also injured. Indian Army personnel assaulted students and held

their protest. However, at least five to six army personnel pursuing
their higher studies as private candidates in the college insisted to
unlock the gate and tried to enter to attend their classes which
triggered the brawl.

Meanwhile, the Army personnel who were in civil dress called their
camp office and within an hour few personnel in uniform came and
started assaulting students in two were severe injured.

'The incident is unfortunate and could be a case of mistaken identity, however
FIR has been lodged against the army personnel for assaulting
students. The injured have been rushed for medical assistance,’
