PASIGHAT, Jun 28: In view of continuous monsoon rains and rising levels of Siang river and its tributaries, East Siang District Magistrate Dr. Kinny Singh has issued a Safety Advisory, cautioning the general public, particularly those living in low lying areas to refrain from venturing into the river and its tributaries for fishing, swimming and other activities.
Further, people living in the low lying right and left bank areas viz. Jarku, Paglek, SS Mission, Jarkong,
Banskota, Berung, Sigar, Borguli, Seram, Kongkul, Namsing and Mer have been advised to remain alert and not to panic as Siang waters are still flowing below the danger level. DIPRO
