ITANAGAR, Apr 16: In the wake of increasing cases of bike lifting and other untoward incidents in Seppa, All East Kameng District Students Union (AEKDSU) has submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner for strict vehicle checking in the area including against underage riders and commercial vehicles under MV Act.
The students body also sought action against illegal lottery counters, petrol sellers and over charging by mobile recharge vendors as well as action against selling of ghutka and other toxic substances in the township.
Further to curb anti-social activities in the area, the union also urged the DC to intensify night patrolling in isolated areas and other pockets of the town, stated a release.
