PASIGHAT, Mar 6: Following the speedy arrest in the murder of Rural Bank, Mebo, cashier late Bomge Nyori, representatives of community based organizations including his widow met the Deputy Commissioner East Siang on Monday.

Representatives of Lower Siang District Unit of Galo Welfare Society, Karko Ao Welfare Association, Ramle Baggo Welfare Society, Koyu Kobo Welfare Society, Mrs Ibom Riba Nyori appreciated the timely arrests and also appealed for compassionate job appointment for late Nyori’s wife.

Wife of Late Nyori, who came with her two sons while speaking with the DC broke down and said that, both children have stopped going to school due to shock over the incident which took away their father.

DC Tamiyo Tatak assured best possible cooperation from the administration side. He assured to write to concern higher authorities for early payment of relief and ex-gratia while recommending for compensatory appointment, as late Nyori died on duty saving public money. The visiting members also urged the state government for consideration of awarding bravery award to late Nyori posthumously in recognition of his sacrifice.

While talking to this scribe, Ibom thanked all organizations including Mebo Intellectual Forum (MIF) who led a mass candle light march at Mebo seeking justice for late Nyori. She also thanked Mebo MLA cum Advisor to Chief Minister, Lombo Tayeng for his proactive role in pressurizing the concern authorities for early arrest of the culprits.
