ITANAGAR, Nov 13: Tobacco products seized from visitors and employees at the tobacco-free zone Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat was disposed off today.
Under secretary (SA) K Gamo, Section officer Taba Kanu, who were present during the disposal appealed employees and visitors to cooperate in the mission to keep the premier institution of the state a tobacco-free zone.
Informing that search operation are also being done from time to time and checking carried at the entrance  gate, the Under Secretary said that action will be taken on those openly defying the order. He said specific order has been issued by the Chief Secretary and it is being implemented by the Secretariat administration department. SI Tatu Ronya informed that this is the third time and large number of tobacco products was seized.
