ITANAGAR, Feb 24:

 

The Adi Students Union (ADIsu) today strongly condemned the gruesome murder of late Katem Dai by his classmate at Guwahati on February 20 last and has demanded exemplary punishment to the accused.

In a letter addressed to Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Kamrup, Assam, the union strongly urged the investigating team to refrain from giving bail to the accused till completion of the procedural formalities and to ensure that the accused is booked relevant section of law.

 ‘A murder is a heinous act and such criminal act should be strongly condemned from all quarters,’ ADIsu further said calling for fair probe to unearth the circumstances leading to the death of the young boy.
