Jairampur, May 24: In order to keep the region safe from the threat of COVID-19 as well as to prevent chaos, Jairampur ADC Ibom Tao has introduced series of standard operating system for business establishments to function properly, here today.
As per the SOP, face mask has been made compulsory both for customers and shopkeepers. The ADC has ordered the shopkeepers not to entertain any customers without face mask and follow social distancing norms.
Beauty parlour, spa and saloon have been asked to sanitize all tools and use face mask, handgloves and clean clothes. In addition, the shopkeepers or workers dealing with the customers should maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Furthermore, in view of growing cases of COVID-19 in neighbouring Assam, the ADC has banned the shopkeepers going in Assam to procure essential commodities. He has advised the business community to communicate with their wholesale dealers to deliver the goods in Jairampur following all safety procedures.
The ADC also informed that a 16- member town sanitation management committee consisting of senior citizen, license holders, officers and business community has been constituted to care for the cleanliness of the township.
He has ordered the wood based veneer mills and tea factories to strickly follow the SOP issued by the MHA.
