DADAM, Feb 8: A 100-bedded Girls hostel for Govt. Secondary School, Dadam and a Primary Health Centre was inaugurated on Friday by MLA, Tirong Aboh in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Tirap, PN Thungon, Director Social Justice & Tribal Affairs, Yumlam Kaha among others.
While addressing a mammoth gathering, Aboh informed that the hostel constructed by the PWD was funded under Social Justice &Tribal Affairs, while the PHC executed by the RWD was funded under NEC (North East Council).
He hoped that that two infrastructures would cater to needs of the people of Dadam circle which is one of the thickly populated circles in the district. He appealed all to develop a sense of belonging towards the infrastructure and ensure its upkeep.
Director of Social Justice Empowerment & Tribal Affairs, Yumlam Kaha briefed the students about the several scholarship schemes available and also urged the villagers to make optimum utilization of old age pension schemes.
