ITANAGAR, May 6: The All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union (AAPWU), affiliated to the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, celebrated its 21st foundation day at its head office in T T Plant, Itanagar.

On the occasion, BJP Vice President and Advocate Dominic Tadar said that the workers are the builders of nations; adding that the union is doing a commendable job by joining with the BMS, which is one of the top organisations in Asia.

Addressing the gathering, AAPWU President, Jalley Sonam said that under his leadership he has completely stopped workers’ exploitation, and implemented various schemes already available in other states for the workers of Arunachal.

Sonam also thanked Chief Minister Pema Khandu for enhancing the wages of workers by Rs 1,000.

Working President Tadung Yangfo highlighted the roles and achievements of the Union under the banner of BMS and encouraged the workers and office bearers to work strongly for the betterment of the union.

Agum Paul, yoga trainer from New Delhi, B P Gupta, retired Scouts Officer and Tame Rajen, RSS Secretary also spoke on the occasion.
