ITANAGAR, May 11:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has welcomed the State Cabinet approval for enhancement of upper age limit for appearing competitive exams from 30 to 32 year with five years relaxation in place for APST as well as creation of seven posts for various categories to strengthen the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.

The AAPSU also welcomed the initiatives of the state government for early realization of dream project of Greenfield Airport at Hollongi and amendments for increasing of compensation amounts for rape victims as suggested by the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS).

The union had called on the Chief Minister on 17th December 2017 for enhancement of entry age for APST. The CM had directed for joint meeting to be chaired by Chief Secretary on 22nd December during which it had apprised the house for enhancement of entry age for APST and implementation of FR 56 (J) in the policy.

 ‘The AAPSU welcomes the Cabinet decision but we demand the implementation of FR 56 (J) to be included as apprised,’ said President Hawa Bagang in a release this evening.
