ITANAGAR, Jun 6: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has taken a strong exception to the repeated cancellation and postponement of the recruitment process for Nursing Officers under National Health Mission (NHM).
Through a release issued on Saturday AAPSU highlighted the delay by recalling the timeline where the current recruitment advertisement dated May 26, 2020 vide order No. APRHM /2020/08 issued by the Mission Director (NHM) inviting applications for recruiting a total of 150 Nursing Officers for different districts was actually a modified version of the earlier postponed advertisements for the same posts (No.APRHM-2020/08 dated February 26, 2020 and No. APRHM/2020/15 dated May 12, 2020).
The union said that it has been receiving reports of unnecessary ordeal being faced by the applicants who have been preparing to appear for the interview and had actually reached their respective district headquarters for the same after incurring heavy expenses for travelling other arrangements.
While questioning the logic of the state government particularly the Department of Health for this delay, AAPSU has urged the state to initiate corrective measures and avoid further delays in the said recruitment process and also called for fulfilling all manpower needs particularly the Nursing Officers in the state’s hospitals, CHCs & PHCs.
