ITANAGAR, Jun 8:Coming out in full support for Master Taman Gamnu, a contestant in dance reality show - Dance India Dance, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has decided to launch a rigorous campaign for the young talent with immediate effect.

The dancing prodigy who has entered the grand finale of the talent hunt show has not only made our state proud but is also a testimony that hard work and talent never goes unnoticed, the union said in a release today.

Taman, a student of class-6 in KV 2,  Naharlagun hails from the remote Janering village under  Siyum circle of Upper Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh.  His father Taga Gamnu is working as peon in the Deptt of Labour and mother is a housewife.

Also taking cognizance of the latest land dispute developing tensions in the Assam-Arunachal state boundary at Hime village, the AAPSU has appealed the State Government to initiate immediate action to withdraw the illegal construction of road in the area.

It is learnt that Assam-based contractor and villagers attempted to forcibly construct road on wet rice cultivation (WRC) land at Hime village. It is not the first that such illegal encroachment  has been witnessed, the union said.
