ITANAGAR, Oct 24:A Team of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’Union (AAPSU) led by its Vice-President (Pro) Dr. Tayuk Sonam and Education Secretary Prem Camdir Tallong called on the Vice-Chancellor, RGU, Prof. Tamo Mibang following resolution to the vexed No More Chance (NMC) under which students were restricted to three chances to clear their back papers.
After much persuasion by the union, a 3-member committee was constituted to examine the matter. The committee had unanimously resolved the abolition of the existing practice and decided to allow candidates at UG level to clear their back papers within 6 years. The Academic Council meeting which was held again on October 12 last accepted the proposals of the committee.
Welcoming the decision, AAPSU however said that henceforth no requests regarding exam related matter will be entertained by the Union.
