ITANAGAR, Jul 21: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has applauded the Army, the Assam Rifles along with Assam Police for arresting NSCN(IM) cadre Anok Wangsa involved in the recent Tirap violence in which sitting MLA Tirong Aboh alongwith ten others were killed on May 21. The union said that it continues to stand by its demand for expulsion of all insurgent elements from TCL districts.
The union while also appreciating Member of Parliament, Tapir Gao for speaking on the stapled visa issue on the floor of the House, it urged the central government to resolve the issue as it creates a situation where the people of the state are “second grade” citizens of the country.
The matter of Stapled Visa has always been a matter of great concern which the Union has been raising through different mediums since long. However, the matter has not received any attention till today, it said urging other representatives to raise the issue.
The matter of reservation for development in border areas, road connectivity to connect all villages etc is appreciated move, it stated. Newsdesk
