ITANAGAR, Jul 13: A team of All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) led by Education Secretary Prem Camdir Tallong visited Government Higher Secondary School, Itanagar today. On its surprise visit to the institution, the team took stock of the fact that the school is running without basic infrastructure. The team found acute shortage in all spheres of development that could have been materialised if the concerned authorities were really concerned about it. The school is running without drinking water facilities, pipelines to the toilets are broken and are in a dilapidated condition.

“AAPSU is not shocked and surprised to take note of the worst condition of education institutes across the state when a school like Government Higher Secondary School Itanagar adjacent to its director’s office is in such a dilapidated condition. If the school which is a temple to students are in such an unhygienic condition, how can we expect students learning real values of education,” said the AAPSU statement.
