3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) in its three-day Federal Assembly held at Tezu from December 27 to 29 discussed vital issues concerning the state particularly on education and health, refugee, highway, PRC and other issues.
AAPSU Federal Speaker Danghi Mangam stated that the Assembly sessions adopted following resolutions:
In the field of education, it demanded transfer and posting of regular Principals, Head Masters, subject teachers as per survey reported by respective DSUs and called for immediate recruitment of teachers which were sanctioned by the State Government.
While asking for proper demarcation of boundary for all government educational institutions like schools, colleges, universities, etc., it demanded creation of commerce, science, humanity streams as required in various institutions apart from. immediate posting of teaching faculties to various colleges and universities.
It has also called for immediate creation of infrastructure in Arunachal University, Pasighat as well as appointment and posting of regular administrative officers like regular Registrar, Controller of Examination and other subordinate officers etc. in Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh and institutionalisation of Arunachal University, Pasighat by posting of Vice Chancellor, Registrar as per requirement placed by respective DSUs. The Union also made a strong plea to rename Jote Law College as Jarbom Gamlin Law College.
On the Highway issue, AAPSU decided to monitor timely completion of highway as per guidelines of the MoRTH and four lane issue from Chandranagar to Papu Nallah within 10 days after the completion of Federal Assembly.
It has demanded creation and establishment of separate department for strict vigilance and monitoring of refugee affairs as well as enactment of permanent land law for Arunachal Pradesh. It has also decided to approach Government of Arunachal for strict monitoring of infiltration at Dirak Check Gate, Namsai district and establishment of police stations at all controversial boundary places shared with Assam.
The AAPSU decided to further pursue refugee issue of Tawang and Bomdila for cancellation of APST certificates, jobs etc. that were obtained by refugees.
In private member’s resolutions, it demanded unconditional disposal of all the cases pending against AAPSU activists.
It also decided to pursue with Government of India regarding Water treaty between India and China in regard to Arunachal Pradesh rivers which are originating from China/ Tibet in collaboration with Government of Arunachal Pradesh. A resolution to oppose the granting of PRC to non-tribal, non-native peoples who are residing in Arunachal Pradesh was also adopted..
The Federal Assembly sessions were attended by all the student leaders representing from the District Students’ Unions of all the districts of the State, branch students’ unions, Rajiv Gandhi University Students’ Union (RGUSU), Arunachal Law Students’ Union (ALSU), North East Students’ Union (NESO), Arunachal Students’ Union of Delhi, Arunachal Students’ Union of Shillong and other affiliated unions of AAPSU.
