ITANAGAR, Sep 4: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has condemned the death of social activist and former students’ leader Tatung Tagok who died under mysterious circumstances on the night of September 3 last and questioned the role of police in the incident.
According to a press release issued today by AAPSU, the incident took place on Hollongi Road when Tagok along with his eight friends were attacked by a police patrolling team all of a sudden without any reason whatsoever causing severe injury to some of the youths. After the melee, as per statement of his friends, Tagok’s lifeless body was discovered in a gorge. Condemning the incident, AAPSU has demanded an immediate enquiry into the incident to give justice to the late student leader. 
Tagok who hailed from Tungmar village under Kra Daadi district served as the President of All Tali Area Students’ Union and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
