ITANAGAR, Sep 19: The two day Constitutional Review of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) on September 17-18 last concluded at the Siddhartha Hall, Itanagar on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of all the District Students' Union (DSU's), Former AAPSU leaders including the Branch Students' Union (BSU's) . During the meeting, members moved for amendment of various provisions of the Union Constitution. The mass gathering of the apex student's body has unanimously agreed for 6 month extension of the present AAPSU team's tenure.
Expressing its gratitude to the DSU's for approving the extension of tenure, President AAPSU Hawa Bagang, thanked the drafting team comprising of former student leaders viz, Hassang Tok, Kasung Cheda, Koj Tachang including RGUSU President Goda Bhai Karu for taking pains in drafting the proceedings and the resolutions of the two day session. “There are certain important issues initiated by the Union during its present tenure like the vexed off-spring issue whereby the off-springs of APST mother & Non-APST father have been found to be fraudulently enjoying the benefits of an APST, 4 lane Highway issue, Educational & Health issue etc which shall be pursued with renewed vigour during the remainder of the tenure," said Bagang.
Earlier, on day one, website of AAPSU was launched by Minister for Agriculture, Tage Taki, in presence of Techi Kaso, MLA Itanagar.
