ITANAGAR, Jun 15:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) while welcoming the Vice President of India to Arunachal Pradesh has drawn his attention towards the educational sector in the State especially higher educational institutions.

The premier institutes of the State like the Rajiv Gandhi University, National Institute of Technology (NIT), North East Regional institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) in the recent times have been in the news for all wrong reasons which have hit the academic performance low, the union said. It further added that the recent hurried resignation of the Director of NIT has come as a surprise and has raised many questions to introspect and NERIST had to hit the streets with rallies and hunger strike for a Director.

The Central government and as well as State government need to draw special attention for conducive environment, the AAPSU said in its release today.
